Department: Secondary Education and Youth Services

Secondary Education and Youth Services (SEYS) offers seven distinct programs that lead to certification, Bachelor's and Master's degrees or post-Master's extension credits.

Our Undergraduate Initial Certification Program entails a sequence of courses in a subject discipline along with courses in the department of SEYS. Students typically enter the education part of their studies when they are second semester sophomores and have completed a certain number of subject discipline courses (specific details are given under each SEYS program). Students completing this program earn a Bachelor's degree and initial teaching certification.
