Foundations of Research in Biology

introduction to the critical thinking tools required to conduct research in Biology. Topics include the scientific method, experimental design and hypothesis testing; introductory statistical methods for data analysis; communication of research findings via research papers, posters, and oral talks; and ethics in scientific research. Prerequisites: BIOL 105 and a B- or greater average in biology courses.
