This course is designed to make prospective elementary school teachers aware of the beauty, meaning, and relevance of mathematics. Topics are taken from those areas of mathematics that are related to the elementary school curriculum, and emphasis is placed on clearing up common misunderstandings of mathematical concepts and results. Not open to students who are taking or have
received credit for a MATH course numbered 201 or above unless they are students majoring in Elementary Education or have a concentration in Elementary Education. (MQR)
