CESL 21 - Foundations of Writing 1

The student will spend one hour per week meeting with the instructor in conferences, small groups, or other formats for intensive writing instruction, review, and practice. Emphasis on descriptive and narrative forms of writing, and an introduction to expository writing. Work on grammar, writing organization, and basic writing mechanics. Admission by placement examination or recommendation of CESL director is required.
