Description

Required for all Majors. Offered in the Fall semester and must be taken in student’s the senior year. Students will complete a senior research project. This senior project will require students to demonstrate their familiarity with the theories, methods, and foundational debates of Africana Studies, and call upon their knowledge of different academic disciplines to conduct research on a self-designed topic from an interdisciplinary perspective. The capstones will be taught as independent studies with the close guidance of an Africana Studies-affiliated faculty member.
