Description
What does it mean to be, and to be labeled, a fascist, a populist, or an authoritarian regime, movement, and/or political actor? This course will provide students with an understanding of fascism, populism, and authoritarianism from a comparative perspective. We will examine the origins, ideologies and varieties of one or more of the above movements, as well as the rise of extremism at the domestic and international level in contemporary times.
