An entry-level design class that studies the phenomenon of user-generated content onsocial media, and how social media platforms have transformed advertising and branding. Throughout the semester, students research strategies, create a personal branded project on Instagram, evaluate success with data analytic tools, and present their findings through oral presentations and written reports. Additionally, best practices and ethical issues associated with social media are explored through readings, class discussions and assigned essays.
