Description
A writing course for students concurrently enrolled in ENGL 110. This course is designed to focus students' attention on specific topics and issues in writing through extensive reading, practice in a variety of writing techniques appropriate to the topic, and reflection upon the readings and their own written work. Topics willvary based on students’ writing interests and experiences and may include the writing process; comparative analyses of different writing situations and disciplinary forms of argument; sentence and paragraph styles; and revision. When the topic scope and amount of reading warrant it, this course will be offered on a 3-hour, 3-credit basis. The 1-hour, 1-credit version and the 2-hour, 2-credit version may be taken twice when the specific topic varies.
