Description
Development of speaking skills with concise grammar, sophisticated expression and listening comprehension in modern Japanese. The students will be exposed to current events and culture through authentic materials such as newspaper and journal articles, media and short films. The students are required to speak on those topics in a structured manner. The topics covered in this course will focus on Japanese customs, family, current events, public health, gender and other social issues. Lectures, class discussions and written work will be done entirely in Japanese.
