Description

Exploration of the rich and diverse subcultures and communities that dot the urban landscape. In recent years new patterns of cultural belonging and new forms of identity have displaced earlier forms of community organization and neighborhood life. It will expose students to a number of studies by professional ethnographers and prepare them to undertake an original field study on a topic of their choice.
