A simulation of the United Nations as an agent for peace in the contemporary world, including participation in a week-long Model UN event in New York City with general assembly meetings at the UN headquarters. Students will research issues before the UN in such areas as regional and world peace, economic development, education, human rights, and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, and will prepare to participate in simulated debates and negotiations.This course has an M&T Fee.
