An introduction to the historical, philosophical, and sociological foundations of the profession. Experience with the essentials of music pedagogy as applied to school music classes. Each student will participate in a structured field experience under music education faculty supervision. Students must pass this course with a grade of B or higher to be allowed to register for any other music education courses.
