Genres and literary movements may include travel narratives, the novel, poetry, the essay, Romanticism, Transcendentalism, or Pastoralism. Topics may include industrialization and urbanization, colonialism and empire, crisis and ecocollapse, animal studies, evolution, environmental justice, and anthropocentrism.
