Honors Thesis

The student will engage in significant research under the supervision of a faculty mentor and a thesis committee consisting of the mentor and two additional faculty members. The thesis proposal and committee must be approved by the department's Honors and Awards Committee. Upon completion of theresearch paper, an oral presentation of the results, open to the public, will be given. With the approval of the mentor, thesis committee, and the department's Honors and Awards Committee, the course may be repeated once for credit when the level of the student's work warrants a full year of effort.
