Introduction to Research in Chemistry and Biochemistry

Description

Introduction to research techniques in chemistry and biochemistry under the supervision of a member of the department. The purpose of the course is to effect a transition from experiments for which the outcome is known to designing and doing experiments to secure the information necessary to solve a problem for which the outcome is not known. A written report will be submitted to the mentor and a presentation of results is required. This course may be repeated for a maximum of three credits. (Substitution of HMNS 102/291 for 2 semesters of CHEM 291 is permitted with submission of a written report and a presentation for each semester.)This course has an M&T Fee.
