Description
With the information explosion and the advent of new technologies, information access and retrieval have become more complex. This course is designed to develop the student's ability to access and retrieve from a variety of information sources to meet college research needs. Students will receive an introduction to the organization, access and retrieval of information; a foundation for forming research strategies; and a basis for evaluating information sources. In addition, students will gain an understanding and respect for the ethical and legal aspects of information and its technologies. Both print and electronic resources will be considered.
